Whew.This is a tough loss. Dee, you and Ray have been dear friends since you arrived in Ontario. I loved the obvious love and respect you showed to one another, always with some element of humour. I have many, many wonderful memories of the two of you and Ray taking my hand when I opened my business was an invaluable resource to me. Myra and Doug and spouses have also always been kind friends to me, always quick to smile and laugh. In my heart, the bunch of you have a special place in my heart I will carry until it eventually stops. From there it will stay in my soul forever. I share your sense of loss, however Ray lived a full life. A loyal and dedicated husband, a common sense Father and a friend to soo many people. The Bartlett Family
So sadden to hear of Rays passing. Today we are remembering the wonderful memories of him. It was only shortly before he left Newfoundland, that our group from the cabin area, enjoyed a day out on a beach with a wonderful cook up, music and friends. Ray decided to travel on board the Exploits Clipper to get to the Beach area and we were so glad to have him. He so enjoyed the fresh air, the waves, the freedom. That was one of many beautiful memories, you have left this little area remembering. We will cherish them dearly. May your own special memories, the care and concern of those who share in your sorrow help comfort you as you mourn the loss of one who was so dear to your hearts . Thinking of you Dee and your family.

I got to know Ray as the caretaker at St. John's, and I thoroughly enjoyed our visits. He was very kind and thoughtful. I have fond memories of the time we stayed together in Sudbury back in 1988. Ray had a kind heart and was a real gentleman. He will absolutely be missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
