I was sad to hear the passing of Red. He was my first foreman when I started as a apprentice at Bruce. He was one of the best foreman I have worked for in my 35 year career. He was good Union member and what a lot of members don't realize is he caused number of positive changes to our benefit plan to help disabled workers and family members.
He was just cool guy who tradesmen liked to work for. I have so many positive memories and the laughs we had within our crew. I learned a lot about high voltage in my time there that has stayed with me through my career. He helped build many generations of linemen and electricians in his time with us. That is his legacy within the Canadian Union of Skilled Workers. He will be missed.

I am very saddened to hear of this news.

I always had great conversations with Mr. Boucher.  Every time I saw him, no matter where it was, I would hi and refer to him as "Mr Boucher",  (and... I always get in trouble for calling him that).  He recognized me every time and took the time to update me on "the boys".  If he had the grandkid(s) with him, he would always start the conversation off with "Can you guess which of the boys this one belongs too?" ... always made me laugh.   We would chat for what seemed for hours, catching up on his issues, the boys lives and then followed by my updates on how may parents and my brother were.

I know he is at peace and is back with Elvis, Cassie and Mrs Boucher, which he missed whole-heartedly.   I will miss seeing him around.

On behalf of the Periard family,
Dean, Danny, Derrick, we send our deepest condolences to you and your families.  You are all in our thoughts & prayers.

Nicole
