Passed away at the Southampton Care Centre on Monday, June 3, 2019 in her 92nd year. Agnes resided in her Saugeen Township home for 65 years. Born Egina Ens on July 30, 1927 in Shönbaum, Russia, located in the southern Ukraine, Agnes emigrated to Canada with her family in 1928.
Beloved wife of the late John Stickel. Loving mother of Janet (Ken) Dunlop, John Stickel, and Judy (Mike) Roe. Proud Grandmother to Andy (Alyssa) Dunlop, Alison (Luke) Charbonneau, Maggie (Brad) Tieman, Jamie Dunlop, Emma Roe, Grace Roe, John Roe; and great grandmother to Austin Dunlop, Maeve Dunlop, Ben Charbonneau, Teddy Charbonneau, Marty Charbonneau, Tyler Tieman, and Madison Tieman. Dear sister of Bertha (Brent) Strickland, Fred Ens, and Josephine Fehr. Fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law Irene Ens, Mary Stickel, and Norma Stickel and brother-in-law Tom Robinson. Predeceased by her sisters Mary Zimmer, Hilda Zimmer, and Clara Robinson, brothers Edward Ens, Nick Ens and Peter Ens, sisters-in-law Eiginna Ens, Diane Ens, Verna Stickel, and brothers-in-law Tony Zimmer, Ed Zimmer, Jake Fehr, Charlie Stickel and Jim Stickel. Agnes will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and their families.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 7-9pm at the T.A. Brown Funeral Home, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin, 519-832-2222. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 6th, 2019 at 1:00pm at the Faith Lutheran Church, 525 Ivings Drive, Port Elgin with Rev. Jason Ashby officiating. Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery.
