Albert "Bert" Ralph McKenzie

Passed away peacefully, at the Chapman House Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce, on Thursday, May 3, 2018 in his 94th year.  Bert, loving husband of the late Dorothy (nee Hamilton), loving father of Marilyn Henderson (Gabriel), Grandfather to Taiya Kristiansen (Phillip), and proud great Grandfather to Kirsten and Robyn.  Lovingly remembered by his daughter-in-law Janet Kohr, older sister Marion Lougheed, and the many nieces and nephews that have been a cornerstone of his life.  Predeceased by his son Robert (Bob), parents Duncan and Sephrona, and by his 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

Bert led a charmed life, benefiting from good health and hard work that allowed him to enjoy a lengthy retirement. An expert armchair referee to many sports, Bert loved music, dancing, playing cards and golfing, plus any social event that brought new and old friends together.

At his request there will be no funeral.  Memorial donations can be made to the Owen Sound Hospital Foundation or the Chapman House Hospice, 2 facilities where Bert received excellent care.
