Eleanor Moore Obituary

Peacefully, at the Southampton Care Centre on Tuesday, July 10th, 2018 in her 83rd year. Eleanor, beloved wife of Edward for 63 years. Loving Mom of Steven (Cathy) of London, David (Peggy) of Hanover, and Sandra Swanson of Port Elgin. Proud Grandmother of Myles, Sarah (Peter), Dylan, Carly, Keagan, Spencer, Carter, and Chris (Nicole), and Great Grandmother of Ryder, Leila, Jack, and Kira. Dear sister of Mary, Chris, Jim, Frankie, Cathy, Mike, and Ron. Predeceased by her son Joseph, her parents Charles and Katie (nee Kelly) Gillissie, her sister Theresa, and by her brother Thomas.

A Celebration of Eleanor’s life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, July 14th, 2018 at the Port Elgin United Church, 840 Bruce Street with a reception at the church to follow.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
