Elizabeth (Steiger) Stier

At Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Friday, July 20th, 2018 at the age of 92. Betty Stier of Port Elgin, wife of the late John Stier, mother of Dennis, and Dianne (Barry) Lawrie. Grandmother to Ben and Toby Stier, and Brita (John) Sherren and Eric (Marina) Lawrie. Great Grandmother to Ashton James Lawrie. Sister to John Steiger and Helen (Jim) Bacskai. Sister-in-law to George (Irene) Stier.  Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Jimmy, her brother George Steiger and by her parents George and Elizabeth Steiger. 

Friends will be received on Thursday, July 26th, 2018 from 7-9pm at the T.A. Brown Funeral Home, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin, 519-832-2222 and on Friday, July 27th, 2018 from 12:30pm – 1:30pm at Port Elgin United Church, 840 Bruce Street.   A funeral service will be held at the church, following visitation at 2:00pm with Rev. Bonnie Holliday officiating. Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Port Elgin United Church or the Port Elgin United Church “Hug a Bear” program would be appreciated by the family.
