Freda Elizabeth (Potts) McKinnon

Peacefully, with family by her side on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Saugeen Memorial Hospital in her 90th year.  Freda, loving wife of the late Kenneth McKinnon (1991).  She will be sadly missed by her children Jim (Lynne), Joanne (Dwight), Susan (Ben), and Paul (Sue). Predeceased by both her son Bob and his partner Marilyn.  Loved by her ten grandchildren JD (Sara), Kim (Chris), Darryl (Jenni), Stephanie (Claude), Christopher (Nic), Gregory (Alex), Kendra, Courtney (John), Kenny, and Curtis.  Proud Great Grandma of eight. Fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Katharine Lindsay.  Predeceased by her siblings Dorothy, Loreen, and Harry, and by her parents Deighton and Lawretta Potts.  A special thank you to Suzanne McKinnon for all of her love and support and to Dr. McCullouch, Dr. Higgins and the nursing staff for all of their care and compassion.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, May 21st, 2018 from 10:00am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00am at the Port Elgin United Church, 840 Bruce Street, with Rev. Bonnie Holliday officiating. Interment to follow at Sanctuary Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Port Elgin United Church would be appreciated by the family.
