Peter Ens Obituary

Passed suddenly at his home on Tuesday April 24, 2018 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Irene Ens (Nagy). Loving father of Rick (Marilyn), Linda Banks, Joe (Kim), Peter (Jenny), Kim Gardner (Tom Hill) and Laura Finlayson (Duncan). Proud Grandfather of Christiana Ens, Melissa Ens (Craig), Daryl Banks (Dana), Daneen Ens, Sasha Hammell (Tim), Michael Ens, Derek Ens, Brooke Sherwood (Jordan), Becky Smith (Steve), Lauren Gardner, Karissa Finlayson (Christian), and Carley Finlayson. Proud Great Grandfather of Kennedy Wiles, Brock Pudlis, Jackson Vollick, Harper Sherwood, Benjamin Hammell, Colby Wiles, Sawyer Sherwood, Grace Banks and Jacob Hammell. Peter was the dear brother of Agnes Stickel, Bertha Strickland (Brent), Fred Ens and Josephine Fehr and brother-in-law Tom Robinson. Peter was predeceased by his parents Alexander and Emma Ens, and brothers Edward and Nick Ens (Eiginna) and sisters Mary Zimmer (Tony), Hilda Zimmer (Ed), Clara Robinson, brothers-in-law John Stickel and Jake Fehr and sister-in-law Diane Ens. Peter will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Peter’s Life held on Monday April 30, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Lakeshore Recreation Centre, 1177 Goderich Street, Port Elgin.

Memorial donations to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Tire JumpStart Charity would be greatly appreciated by the family.
