Sophie (Tomaszewski) Goluzd

Peacefully with her family by her side at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, Sophie passed on February 14th, 2019 in her 90th year. Sophie called Season’s Retirement Community in Owen Sound home for the past 2 ½ years. Formerly of Port Elgin and Bruce Township.  Predeceased by her husband Mike in 1985.  Finally together again on Valentine’s Day. Loving mother of John Goluzd (Patti) of Owen Sound and Chris Boyd (Jim) of Owen Sound.  Dearest Grandmother of Jennifer Patterson (Sean) of London and Michael Boyd (Sarah) of Owen Sound. Proud Great Grandma of Callum and Norah Patterson, and Grace and Leah Boyd. Survived by her sisters Mary Srebnik of Mississauga and Irene Blake of Brussels.  Predeceased by her parents Stefan and Alexandra Tomaszewski, brothers Jan and Kazik Tomaszewski and sister Jadzia (Hedy) Przybylski.

Friends will be received on Monday, February 18th, 2019 from 1:00pm until the time of the memorial service at 2:00pm at the T.A. Brown Funeral Home, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin, 519-832-2222. A Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary service will be held at 1:45pm.

Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
