Agnes (McQueen) Stewart

Peacefully at home, with family by her side on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at the age of 100. Agnes, our amazing, giving Scottish matriarch, joined her God.   Loving wife of the late John. Beloved Mom of Mel and his wife Catherine Beamish, and John and his wife Marilyn. Proud Grandma of Adam (Sarah), Cori, and Shawn. Great Grandma of Liam.  Dear sister-in-law of Jessie Stewart. Predeceased by her brother James McQueen (Isobel), and sisters Mary Foster (Alf), Grace Kerr (Frank) and Chrissie Nesbitt (John).

We are endlessly thankful for all who have enriched her life over the years…family, in-laws, the “Y” program in Hamilton and the “Day Away” program in Port Elgin, all the selfless PSW’s along the way, her church pals who always looked out for her & included her, all those known & unknown folks whose circle welcomed her and all who became a part of her “guid” (good) life in Scotland and Canada. 
 

Friends will be received on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm at the T.A. Brown Funeral Home, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin. A private funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at St. John’s Anglican Church, 516 Mill Street, Port Elgin. Family and friends wishing to view the funeral service may do so on facebook @BrownFamilyFH or on the service details below. 
 

Memorial donations to St. John’s Anglican Church or Home & Community Support Services Grey Bruce (Day Away Program) would be appreciated by the family.
