Barbara Ann Arnold passed away on June 27, 2023 at the age of 83, after a very brief battle with cancer. Lovingly remembered everyday and forever grateful for her unconditional love by her daughters Anita Arnold, Kim Smythe (Jeff) and her sister Sherrie Maddick (Shane). Predeceased by her parents Mabel and Cecil Maddick, sister Deanna Blair, brother-in-law Eric Blair, granddaughter Jessica Sowa and best friend Gale Sinclair.
Barb had a lifelong love of learning and the outdoors. She was at her happiest when she was at the beach, in a canoe, swimming, playing games, reading, watching figure skating and baseball (her beloved Blue Jays) or spending time with her family and friends. Barb loved to travel with her sisters, children, and Gale, making many treasured memories along the way. Always willing to give of her time and help others, she was a proud member of the Chantry Island Chambettes.
Forever remembered by her grandchildren Amber (James), Joseph, Kaitlynn, Bailey, Simon, Ben and Sam, as well as great grandchildren Kiara, Hunter, Ryliegh and Henry.
Barb had a wonderful extended family and group of friends who will miss their games, letters and lunches with her.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a service at Sanctuary Park Cemetery, 736 Eastwood Drive, Port Elgin, on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 1pm followed by a luncheon at the Lighthouse Restaurant, 199 High Street, Southampton.
