Douglas Edward Atkinson

Peacefully, with family by his side on Thursday, February 17, 2022. Doug, loving Dad of Tami, and Corey and his wife Bekki. Proud Grandpa of Ferrin, Brody, Tori, London, and Ashton. Dear brother of John and his wife Beverly. Predeceased by his parents Robert “Bob” and Doris (nee Harbord), step-mom Margaret Blue, and his brother Mike and his wife Zene. Doug will be fondly remembered by many family, friends, and his “buddies”. 

Friends will be received for a Come and Go Celebration of Doug’s life at the Port Elgin Royal Canadian Legion on Friday, March 4, 2022 from  2:00pm – 5:00pm with remembrances at 3:00pm.

Memorial donations to the Owen Sound Hospital Foundation – Oncology Unit or the Paisley Agricultural Society for the Paisley Fall Fair Horse Show would be appreciated by the family.
