Frank Juhasz

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of Frank Juhasz on Friday, April 16th, 2021, in his 73rd year. After a long and courageous battle with cancer, he slipped away peacefully at home surrounded those he loved. Frank leaves behind his beloved wife Martha (nee Sawchuk) of forty-four years, his daughter Steff and husband Chris Allen of Port Elgin, his son David of Victoria and the granddaughters he adored, Sadie, Marla and Lucy. Also grieving his passing is his sister Liz and husband Ron Pertras, and their family. Many other extended family members also feel this great loss.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Aboo, Dr. Khan, and the compassionate palliative care team who guided us though this difficult journey; Dr. Sommerville, Dr. Hodgson, Jessica Mahon and all the other healthcare professionals who were there for us. After exhausting all available medical treatments, we are grateful that Frank was able to access MAID and was able to have a dignified death on his own terms. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Saugeen Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as a way to honour Frank.
