Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John H. Biehl in his 78th year. He was the son of the late Harold and Helene Biehl. Loving husband of Sheila Biehl and proud father of the late J. Trevor Biehl (Mindy), Stephanie Biehl Scott (Ken), and David Biehl (Carolyn). Many hugs came from his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his sister Dianne Todd (Brian), and his brother James.

John enjoyed participating in many sports and ran the hockey league, made league schedules, and coached and played hockey and baseball. Many hours were also spent as a referee and umpire. He could also be found lobbying balls on the golf course or taking a “déjà vu 64” to a car show with Sheila by his side.

A service will be hold on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 1:00pm at Tolmie Presbyterian Church, Port Elgin with a Celebration of life to follow at the Port Elgin Legion from 2pm-4pm.

As expressions of sympathy donations to the Salvation Army Food Bank or Tolmie Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.

A special “Thank You” is sent to the doctors and nurses of the Saugeen Memorial Hospital for the care and kindness they provide in his last days.
