Leanne Marie Dearden

Surrounded by close family and loving partner Jeff Hewton, it is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Leanne Marie Dearden on Sunday January 30th, 2022 in her 58th year. Predeceased by sister Pattie Dearden, brother Richard Dearden, father Melvin Dearden and mother Donna Dearden. Survived by brother Randy Dearden (Kathy), brother Michael Dearden (Kelly), daughter Melissa Eagles, sons Joshua and Harley Jacques and their father John Jacques, as well as grandchildren Jocelyn and Corrado. Loved and missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Leanne moved to Port Elgin as a young girl from Port Rowan. Although she did try the city life for a couple short periods, her heart always brought her back to the water. She enjoyed returning yearly to Port Rowan/Simcoe area every Christmas for years to visit family, and she always looked forward to her Moms annual visits for Pumpkinfest. In her younger days she enjoyed tanning on the beach, and late night card sessions with great friends. Leanne reconnected with many old friends and family through Facebook, and always made a point to extend her well wishes on everyone’s birthday. To her, a day without tunes and Tim’s is hardly a day at all. When Leanne loved, she loved with her whole being.. especially her children and grandchildren. She will be missed so deeply by so many.

A special thank you to Jeff from the family for helping mom live out her last weeks as comfortably as possible at home, as per her wishes.

A celebration of life will be held for Leanne at a later date.
