Peacefully, with family by her side, on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at the Southampton Care Centre, in her 87th year. Dorothy, loving wife of the late Harvey. Beloved Mom of Roy and his wife Janet, Irene and her husband Joe McCarthy, Tom and his wife Linda, Shirley and her husband David Gillis, Helen & her husband Stephen Tidder, and Murray. Proud Grandma of Chad, Dan, Alana, Melanie, Crystal, Shawn, Erin, Christopher, Kelly, Sheila, Dawn, John, Christopher, Trevor, Chloe, Brooklyn, Schenley, and Jayden. Great Grandma of 26. Predeceased by her daughter Sheila, her sons Steven and Paul, and by her granddaughter Vicky.
Friends will be received from 2-4pm on Sunday, July 30th, 2017 at the T.A. Brown Funeral Home, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin, 519-832-2222. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, July 31st, 2017 at 11am with Rev. Bonnie Holliday officiating. Interment Lovat Cemetery.
