My sincere condolences to the Gross Family ;
Having first met Jack when I had my Texaco Sevice Station in Grimsby , He was then Vice President of Firestone Stone  Canada , He always liked my huge display of Firestone tires and the latest posters displaying Firestones  newest tires always properly displayed ! He was always one of my best gas customers
Then several years later  I went to work for Jack  " and Son John "  in St Catharines At  there own Firestone  Service  Center as a Mechanic a very good place to work - always with the latest up to date equipment and excellent training
Jack was a person who commanded respect and Authority but always very fair.
You alway knew where  you stood with Jack, he was a solution person !
Great Man to work for  as well as his Son John  who Jack trained well.
Jack was always very concerned about His Family they came first , He looked  after them Well, and towards. The they looked after Him very Well!

He will be missed by many !

My wife Lee and my sisters Luana and Sylvia  join with me in passing on our sincere condolences to you on the death of your father; our beloved Uncle Jack. We know for a fact that your Dad was one of our Dad's dearest and closes friends. The experiences they had together in the war including D-Day formed a very strong friendship which our Dad treasured for the rest of his life.  It also formed a friendship between our two families.  As you know I was named for him which I always considered a real honour.  When he came to Calgary every few years on business trips he always came to our place for dinner which we enjoyed.  My sisters and I especially recall the time all our family stayed with all your family at the cottage for a whole week. You are all in our thoughts and prayer at this time. Much Love The Patterson Family

Michael, Andrea, Jacob, Hanna and Family, we are deeply saddened to hear of your dad and grandpa's passing. He was an incredibly wonderful man. Full of smiles and friendly words. He is an amazing tribute to the Era he grew up in. If only we could all make those kinds of wonderful contributions and sacrifices to and for our families, country and the world what a different place we would all be living in now! Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you now. We know he will be greatly missed. Love, hugs, prayers and our deepest sympathy. The Pilkington Family

My heartfelt sympathies are extended to your family upon the passing of a true "gentle" man. It was always an honour and privilege to make beautiful music with Jack at the Day Away program. It wasn't too long ago that he sang a solo of "The Tennessee Waltz" and it still brought tears to my eyes. Go peacefully to the Heavenly Choir, Jack.
