Sarah Jane "Sadie" Smith

Peacefully, on Wednesday, July 6^th, 2016, at Riverview Gardens, Chatham, Ontario, in her 98^th year.  Sadie, beloved Mother of Gary Smith, and Jean and her husband William Rossini.  Beloved Grandmother of Steven Rossini.  Survived by her sister Elsie Cairns (John) and many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her grandson Carlo Rossini, daughter-in-law Nancy Smith, sisters Mary Chappel (Cecil) and Gladys Fenton (John), and by her brothers Jack McCarrel (Martha), Tom McCarrel (Mildred), George McCarrel (Edna).

Sadie was born and raised in North Bruce.  She was a devoted mother, grandmother and a hard worker.  After moving to Chatham she worked for over 25 years at Thamesview Lodge as an RNA where she truly enjoyed working with seniors.

Friends will be received at the T.A. Brown Funeral Home, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin, 519-832-2222, on Monday, July 11^th, 2016 from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 11am.  Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery.
